Waiting for The Rain is the debut album by 23-year-old, indie artist Andrew Cushin. The 12-track album shares stories of Cushin’s life with themes of heartbreak, hope, tough childhood memories, and new beginnings. The opening track, Let Me Give It to You, was a strong start and set the tone for the rest of the album. The album flows well from song to song with an overall structured tempo, accompanied by Cushin’s warm and powerful vocals.

Cushin wrote the album’s title track, Waiting for The Rain when he was 16, and it was the first song he ever wrote. The song invokes a feeling of vulnerability, with authenticity in the lyrics and vocals. The piano ballad, You’ll Be Free, is a song with strong and impactful vocals and lyrics about seeking hope for better days. Dream for a Moment is an uplifting track where Cushin feels proud of what he has accomplished so far.

Before the release of Waiting for The Rain, Cushin toured with Louis Tomlinson as his supporting act for Tomlinson’s Faith in the Future tour. He also had a song produced by Noel Gallagher after making a connection through a friend. He has already accomplished so much in his career at such a young age and this album shows strong promise for Cushin’s future.
